| First Pass | Answer easy questions first (2-3 min each) |
| Flag Difficult | Mark hard questions and move on |
| Second Pass | Return to flagged questions |
| Time Check | Check time every 30 minutes |
| Last 15 min | Review answers, check for errors |
Time Allocation by Question Weight¶
For Multiple-Choice Exams (KCNA, KCSA, PCA)¶
- 60 questions in 90 minutes = ~1.5 min per question
- Read question carefully before looking at answers
- Eliminate obviously wrong answers first
- Don't spend more than 2 minutes on any question
- Flag uncertain answers and return later
Common Pitfalls to Avoid¶
Technical Mistakes¶
-
Wrong namespace
-
Forgetting to save YAML files
-
Typos in resource names
-
Not verifying work
Time Management Mistakes¶
- Spending too long on one question
- Not reading the full question
- Overthinking simple questions
- Not using imperative commands when faster
Environment Mistakes¶
- Not bookmarking documentation beforehand
- Unfamiliar with exam terminal
- Not practicing with exam-like environment
